Notice-and-takedown process for copyright claims.
This page describes YapperWoo's notice-and-takedown procedure for copyright claims. Filing a false notice can carry legal consequences.
YapperWoo respects intellectual-property rights and expects the same of its users. If you believe content transmitted through YapperWoo infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our Designated Agent under the procedure below.
1. Designated agent
- Name: {{DMCA_AGENT_NAME}}
- Address: {{DMCA_AGENT_ADDRESS}}
- Email: {{DMCA_EMAIL}}
2. What a valid notice must include
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it.
- Your contact information (address, phone, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
3. What we do with a valid notice
We may remove or disable access to the material, notify the user involved where feasible, and record the action. Because chat messages are ephemeral, in many cases the original content will already be gone by the time we receive a notice; we will still record and act on the notice.
4. Counter-notice
If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent. A valid counter-notice must include your name, contact information, an identification of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury of good-faith belief that the removal was a mistake, and your consent to jurisdiction as required by applicable copyright law.
5. Repeat infringers
YapperWoo terminates the sessions of users who are the subject of repeated valid copyright notices, in accordance with applicable law.
