Terms of Service
The agreement between you and YapperWoo when you use the service.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of YapperWoo, an anonymous chat service operated by {{COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME}} ("we", "us", "our"). By opening YapperWoo or tapping "Start Chatting," you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.
1. Who can use YapperWoo
YapperWoo is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service and to agree to these Terms. If you are not 18 or older, you must not use YapperWoo.
You are responsible for making sure your use of the service is lawful in your jurisdiction. If applicable law where you live imposes a higher age of majority, that higher age applies to you.
2. No accounts — session-only identity
YapperWoo does not require an email, phone number, or password. When you open the service, we mint a temporary anonymous session and a rotating public handle stored on your device. You are the only person we can associate with that session while it is active.
You are responsible for anything that happens under your session on your device. Clearing your browser storage or reinstalling the app ends the session.
3. Acceptable use
Full rules live in our Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines. In summary, you agree not to use YapperWoo to:
- Harass, threaten, dox, or discriminate against anyone.
- Share content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. YapperWoo has a zero-tolerance policy for this and cooperates with authorities.
- Share content that is unlawful, defamatory, or violates another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights.
- Attempt to reveal another user's real identity, contact information, or location without their consent.
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tooling against the service, or attempt to circumvent moderation, cooldowns, or bans.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of what you type or share on YapperWoo. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to transmit that content to the other participant in your chat and to store metadata needed to operate the service (including reports and moderation records).
Text and video content is intended to be ephemeral to the chat session; see the Data Retention Policy for details.
5. Moderation and enforcement
We enforce these Terms through automated signals (rate limits, cooldowns, abuse scoring) and human review of reports. We may warn, mute, cooldown, ban, or permanently remove access to YapperWoo when we believe these Terms have been broken. Details live in the Content Moderation Policy.
We do not have to justify every enforcement decision, but we make an appeals path available at {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}}.
6. Third-party services
Some features (for example WebRTC video chat) rely on infrastructure providers. We choose providers that meet our privacy standards, but we are not responsible for their outages, policies, or actions. Your use of those features is subject to their terms in addition to ours.
7. No warranties
YapperWoo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, {{COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME}} and its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of YapperWoo. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed USD 100.
9. Termination
You may stop using YapperWoo at any time by closing the app or clearing your browser storage. We may suspend or terminate access at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or if we need to protect the service or other users.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will bump the policy version shown at the top of this page, and you'll be asked to re-accept before starting your next chat. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of {{GOVERNING_LAW}}, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of {{JURISDICTION}}, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
