Why people prefer anonymous conversations

Removing profiles removes performance. When neither person can be searched, followed or judged later, the conversation shifts from a highlight reel to something closer to how people actually talk. That's why anonymous chat still exists after fifteen years of profile-first social media — it does a different job.

How YapperWoo protects the anonymity

YapperWoo never asks who you are. There's no account creation flow, no OAuth handoff, no phone verification. The server issues a rotating session token so it can pair you with someone and route your messages; the token isn't tied to any identity you carry outside the browser tab.

Text moderation runs against normalized copies of messages, not stored transcripts. Voice and video streams travel peer-to-peer over WebRTC.

What anonymous doesn't mean

Anonymous doesn't mean unaccountable. Every chat has a report button, and repeated safety violations escalate through warnings, cooldowns and permanent restriction. The rules are the same for everyone; the identity is the part that stays private.
